Fat Tuesday – Umbrella Parade – Sunday Feb 27

Fat Tuesday music festival is the UK’s largest Mardi Gras celebration which showcases Hastings’ thriving music scene – Fri 25th Feb – Tues Ist march.

Radiator will be running FREE drop-in Workshops at the following venues in the week prior to the event..

Saturday 19 Feb, 12 – 4pm
Southwater Community Centre

Thursday 24 Feb, 5-7pm
White Rock Theatre

Saturday 26 Feb, 12 – 4pm
St Mary in the Castle

The workshops are free and suitable for everyone. You will need an hour of your time although you are welcome to stay as long as you want, and most importantly bring an UMBRELLA.

Sunday 27 Feb
The parade will start at the Stade and travel along the seafront to St Mary in the Castle where the party continues all afternoon. Preservation Sunday at St Mary in the Castle will feature a host of second line brass bands including Mr Wilson’s Second Liners, Dende along with the irrepressible Dr Savage.

11.30am line up on the Stade, 12pm Parade.

Radiator Arts will be offering workshops in community venues and schools in Bexhill prior to the event. Come along and make illuminated stars and costumes. Bring a hat or cycle helmet, or make a Star to hold in the Parade. ‘Make at home’ kits will be available from the 18 Hours Office – 31 Station Rd, Bexhill-on-Sea TN40 1RG from Friday 21/01/2022.
